Lisa A. Perryman, MD, FACS, FASCRS
Dr. Perryman holds board certification in colon & rectal surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). She completed a fellowship in colon & rectal surgery at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and performed a seven-year general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Perryman earned her Doctor of Medicine degree as well as a Master of Science degree in Pathology from the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. She is president of Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists, which she founded in 2008.
Bonny, Practice Manager
Bonny joined Dr. Perryman’s practice in 2016, and has extensive experience in the medical practice field.
After graduating from Purdue University, she pursued a business career and later transitioned into healthcare.
She is a former President of Colorado Medical Group Management Association (CMGMA), a member of the American Medical Billing Association, and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE), and Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS). She co-chaired Centura Colorado Health Neighborhoods’ Value & Vision Committee, and serves on the Arapahoe Community College and PIMA Medical Institute advisory boards. Bonny is an active advocate of the practice’s quality, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Bonny is the primary contact in Dr. Perryman’s office regarding billing and insurance questions. Her special interests include cooking, gardening, and hiking through the Sonoran Desert.
Nicole, Front Office Administrator
Nicole has been with Dr. Perryman’s practice since 2013. Prior to joining Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists, she gained extensive medical office experience while working in healthcare clinics, including physical therapy. Nicole majored in psychology at Colorado State University, and participates in continuing education studies including anatomy and physiology. She has a calm, gracious personality, which is welcoming to patients visiting Dr. Perryman’s office. Nicole’s role within the office consists of front office administration, including colonoscopy and appointment scheduling, insurance verification, as well as some clinical assisting. In her free time she enjoys baking, volunteering at the Denver Zoo, and traveling through the English countryside with her husband.
Marie, Medical Assistant
Marie recently moved from Plano, Texas, and assists Dr Perryman in all clinical matters including medical triage, surgery scheduling, follow-up care, and office procedures. A magna cum laude graduate of Baylor University with a B.A. in Medical Humanities and a Minor in Biology, Marie is deeply committed to service. She has volunteered as a hospice companion, fostered dogs for the Humane Society, and served as a Teaching Assistant for pre-medical courses while at Baylor.
Aspiring to attend medical school with an interest in pediatrics and more vulnerable populations such as geriatrics, Marie brings empathy and care to every patient interaction. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring Colorado's outdoors with friends, thrifting, indie music, and discovering new coffee shops. Her compassionate approach ensures patients feel understood and well-cared for during their visits.
Allison, Clinic Administrative Assistant
Allison supports all aspects of front office operations and clinic activities. She is enjoying transitioning into healthcare and learning the nuances of medical insurance and the behind-the-scenes details of running an independent speciality practice like Dr Perryman's. Outside of work, Allison is busy managing a household that includes three teenagers and a cuddly dog named Cranberry. She has a wonderful, friendly manner and is a great asset to Dr. Perryman’s team.
